Payment

 

All prices on this site include VAT at the appropriate rate.  Delivery is charged on a per order basis.

 

Methods of Payment

 

We are happy to accept any of the following credit or debit cards, MasterCard, Visa, Delta, VisaElectron, Switch, Solo or JCB.

 

Processing and Delivery

 

In order to provide such a wide range of stock it is not possible for us to stock every product and some products will be ordered in from the manufacturer.  We can therefore not always guarentee stock availability.  To be sure of stock availability, we would advise you to contact us on 01843 609333 or email us at info@great-expectations.co.uk

 

Delivery times will only apply when we have the requested products in stock with either us or the manufacturer.  The costs shown are per delivery address, per delivery day.  Our couriers work throughout the day so your order may arrive at any time between 8am and 6.30pm.

 

We aim to fulfil your order from stock from within 7 – 10 working days.  This excludes Saturday, Sunday and regional Bank Holidays and is not a guarantee.  However some larger items such as cots and other furniture may take a lead-time from our suppliers of between 14 – 16 days.  If there is a delay on your order for any reason, you will be informed via email as soon as possible with an estimated shipment date. 

 

We send most mainland shipments via courier.  Smaller items are sent via Royal Mail.

 

Some items are delivered directly from the manufacturer/distributor.

 

In the event that we are unable to fulfil your order within the normal delivery period, we will contact you as soon as this is known and offer you the option to withdraw your order or to select an alternative product. 

 

The contract in respect of the products supplied by us to you comes into existence when your order has been accepted by us.  For the avoidance of doubt, receipt of an order via our site does not constitute acceptance of an order.

 

If the delivery address refuses delivery of the goods or if you do not respond to the “sorry we missed you” card left by your driver, your order will be returned to the sender (Great Expectations) and you will be charged for the return of the order.

 

If you provide us with a wrong delivery address and your goods are signed for by another party, Great Expectations cannot be held responsible for any loss you incur as a result.

  

 

RETURNS POLICY

 

On Receipt of the Goods

 

If you are at all unhappy with the contents of your order on receipt, please contact us as soon as possible to allow us the opportunity to resolve the problem:

 

  • All goods must be inspected by you upon receipt and any damage in transit or shortages must be notified to Great Expectations within 48 hours of receipt.  No claims for damage in transit or shortages will be considered after this period.
  • Where goods have been damaged in transit, we will arrange for collection and offer you the choice of a replacement or refund at no extra cost to you. 
  • If you receive your order in good condition but you consider any item to be unsuitable, you may return it for a refund provided that you do so within 14 days of receipt, the item is returned in its original saleable condition and in its original packaging.  In these circumstances you will be responsible for meeting the full cost of the return carriage.  Please be sure to complete all details on the returns form.  IMPORTANT we regret that we cannot offer refunds on mattresses nor assembled furniture unless faulty.  When ordering assembled furniture please check that access to your premises will accommodate delivery.

Failure within the Guarantee Period

 

Where goods fail during the guarantee period, we will arrange for collection and, on inspection, if the fault is confirmed to be due to a manufacturing defect, we will arrange repair (or replacement if the goods cannot be repaired).  Proof of purchase must be supplied before warranty repairs can be accepted.  Accidental damage and damage caused by misuse is not covered by this guarantee and in these circumstances you will be responsible for meeting the full cost of carriage charges.  We advise you to contact us via telephone (01843 609333) before sending any faulty products back.

While great care has been taken with the representation of products on this site, limitations of the processes involved in bringing the images to your screen mean that we are unable to guarantee that the colouring exactly matches that of the origional products.  A name given to a product is not necessarily representative of the colour.  All sizes and weights are given as a guide only and are not approximate.  We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice.  All goods are subject to availability.
